Clyde turned 2 on Sunday. He LOVES Mickey Mouse so it seemed the obvious choice for a party theme.
We keep the party on a small scale and invited only immediate family. I created these wheels and circles out of poster board from the dollar store. I used this as a table decoration and placed the serving trays on top.
I saw this picture on Hip Hip Hooray blog. And decided to do something similar with Mickey Mouse ears.
I cut, pasted and enlarged a bunch of pictures of Clyde in Microsoft Word then printed and cut out. I (well Michael helped) then made a template for the Mickey Mouse hats then traced them on to black cardstock and cut.
I used the same template to create Mouse ears for the party hats.
I found these cute bowls at Marshalls. I also got a plate for the birthday boy to use.
I made really large paper flowers similar to the ones from Camille's birthday last year. I really wanted to hang them from the ceiling over the island but Michael didn't agree with tacking into the ceiling so we compromised with tacking them into the molding.
Kroger made this Mickey Mouse cake and it was so affordable at $17.99!
I found these Mickey Mouse shirts at Target. Here is a link to Camille's shirt.
I found most of the stuff for the goodie bag's at the Dollar Tree. They have tons of Mickey Mouse loot.
I hand sewed this outfit for Mimi (Camille's lovie) and then Camille didn't want her to wear it.
So we re-purposed it as a beer coozie!
One of Clyde's favorite gifts was his lawn mower. He wanted to take it to bed with him on his birthday night.
It was finally time to sing and Clyde played shy on us!
And what he was most looking forward to all week was his CUPCAKES! Dig in!
It was a fun day! I can't believe he is 2!
