It was nice to be in town this weekend getting organized. Yesterday early morning we hit the South of the James Farmer's Market. We had breakfast at Crossroads although if we go back we will most likely be waiting in line for the donuts from Mrs Yoder's Kitchen. They must be yummy. We picked up some tomatoes, okra, ravioli from Cavanna Pasta, Inc and the Bellevue Baguette from Norwood Cottage Bakery.
For dinner last night, we had the pasta and bread. Michael picked up Mezzetta Creamy Vodka Style Marinara from Kroger to top over the ravioli. It was delicious for a bottled sauce. Definitely recommend.
Here goes with this week's menu planner...
Sunday - Mexican Pizza*
Monday - Flank Steak, Rissotto, Possibly Fried Okra (Michael's favorite that I am trying to work in our menu)
Tuesday - Chicken, Potatoes & Green Beans (found this easy recipe on Pinterest and thought we would give it a try...I bought fresh green beans)
Wednesday - Fiesta Turkey Soup with Green Chili Biscuits
Thursday - Ran out of inspiration so I am not sure what we are having! Suggestions welcome.
*We were supposed to have Mexican Pizza last Friday night however I got out of a closing only to find a text from Michael that said "we lost power" which was really interesting since there wasn't any wind or rain. So off to a friends house for dinner and Michael has now spent the rest of the weekend researching hard wiring our generator to our power box. I do think it will be worth it. We loose power all the time!
