Happy Sunday! Hope everyone had a great weekend. Michael was in Blacksburg and I was solo for most of the weekend with Camille and Clyde. Saturday after soccer, my sister Kate, my niece, nephew, Camille, Clyde and I headed to
Chiles Peach Orchard in Crozet, Va. We have been to
Carter's Mountain Orchard before but it can get so crowded so we decided to drive the extra twenty minutes from Richmond to Crozet and try out
Chiles. I believe they are owned by the same people because our bags said Carters. It was great! I definitely recommend...not as crowded and very flat but you still get some mountain views. I would definitely visit again...maybe for the peaches next time.
I now have 12LBS OF GRANNY SMITH APPLES to work with!
After the orchard, we headed over to
Crozet Pizza. Perfect spot for kids! Loved the atmosphere and pizza there.
I made three freezer bags of apple puree today for future use in muffins and pancakes. I also made an apple pie and banana apple muffins for Camille's lunch. We still have so many more!
