Weekend Recap & Menu Planner

Painting begins tomorrow on some of the rooms in the downstairs of our house! I couldn't be more excited. Paint colors are picked (thanks Anne Hunter). Once the painting is completed, I feel like I will be able to better pull together the spaces. Our couch also arrives this week! Yay!

I shopped some yard and estate sales this weekend and am loving my finds.

Also, Michael painted his man cave a deep blue this weekend! It has been a huge project that he has taken on  and to be honest I have been very little help. I was fired as his assistant today! Oops! Click here for a preview.

I am still trying to decide on a front door color and honestly I am not sure I like any of these! Thoughts, comments, opinions, new suggestions welcome!

Here goes with this week's menu planner....

Sunday - Baked Parmesan Tilapia, Red Potatoes, Broccoli

Monday - Pretzel Encrusted Honey Mustard Baked Chicken, Risotto, Baked Apples

Tuesday - Chicken Enchilada Casserole

Wednesday - Turkey Salisbury Steak with White Bean Mash

Thursday - Back to School Night - Tortellini with Vodka Sauce

  1. Alyson - I love your blog (just found it) and you are so creative and have a great eye! You work so hard on your projects - impressive. We used a color on our old house front door that I LOVED that is kind of a mix between the blue and green you sampled. It was a F&B color similar to stone blue and cook's blue. I don't think you can go wrong though!
